This session will focus on providing useful Google tips and tricks for school administrators. Work smarter, not harder with Google. As a school administrator, you can use Google to solve problems and fight the monster of managing your time.

As the Arkansas Digital Sandbox is provided to your district at no cost, isn’t it time to take a closer look at the tremendous resources it provides to your teachers and students? In this session, we will be looking at a high-level overview of the Sandbox system, specifically focusing on the various video creation and editing tools, solutions to share instructional videos with students, including “clean” YouTube videos, creating your own video-on-demand system, and so much more.

Learn how to create your own media with the audio, video, and screen recorder tools built right into the Sandbox system. This session will also explore the: MediaSpot feature, for creating interactive and media-based projects, presentations, and portfolios; Image creator/editor; and Online Video Editor. We will also look at the various ways to share your instructional videos with your students and parents, and how to create your own Video-On-Demand system. This session is geared towards teachers and other content creators in any department.

The Arkansas Digital Sandbox provides your school district with a platform to live broadcast your live events, from board meetings, morning news shows, athletic events and more. You can broadcast from media encoders, USB cameras, as well as from iOS and Android mobile devices. As your district and each of your schools already have a Sandbox streaming channel, this session will cover customizing your channels, using basic and advanced streaming features, and sharing your recorded streams with your community. The Arkansas Digital Sandbox is provided at no cost to school districts in Arkansas.

In this session, we will learn to create video-based quizzes with the SmartSpot feature, interactive media-based Assignments with the Video Response System, and how to tie them together in a MediaSpot project! We will also look at various ways to share this content with students either via URL links, Google Classroom, or various LMS solutions. These media-based quizzes and assignments are great tools for both student review and assessment. This session is geared towards teachers and other instructional team members.
