The procurement of a contract with an FSMC can be a time-intensive process for child nutrition directors, superintendents, district purchasing officials, and the district’s legal council. There are resources available to assist in this process. In this session, you will hear representatives from the UDSA, DESE Child Nutrition Unit, and DESE Legal Office discuss the procurement process for food service companies.  They will discuss the role of the USDA and the Southwest Regional Office during and OIG Audit, The Arkansas RFP process as well as contract and amendment reviews.
