Does your district struggle with reaching and growing all students? Do teachers in your district ever say they just “don't have time” to add one more “initiative”? Is remediation a term that your school still uses? Do you want to learn more about how to implement the Professional Learning Communities process district wide, learn how to create a long term plan for success, AND create a culture of collaboration that is focused solely on students learning at high levels? Then this session is for you!
Join us as we share our vision of Student Focused Education and how we are making it work for kids in our district. The facilitators will share the ongoing journey of what it takes to transition a district into a learning environment aimed at reaching all students.
This session will include information about how one district is implementing true Professional Learning Communities with dual support from both the Regional PLC Collaborative and Solution Tree. The presentation will focus on establishing district and building direction for implementation, professional training plans, teacher and administration collaboration time, master scheduling options, and the opportunity for participants to ask the presenters specific questions. The facilitators and discussion panel will provide attendees a “look” at the way the PLC process is shaping the culture of teaching and learning in a rural Arkansas school district, home to approximately 1,800 students.
